German ZEW Index improves in June 2025

Germany’s ZEW economic sentiment index rose sharply to 47.5 points in June from 25.2 in May, beating analyst expectations of 34.8. The indicator, compiled by the ZEW Institute, reflects increased optimism about economic prospects. Current conditions also improved, with the related index climbing to -72 from -82, above forecasts of -74. The Eurozone ZEW index saw similar progress, rising to 35.5 points from 11.6, outperforming expectations of 23.5
