Deep-tech in photonic quantum computing

Who they are & what they do
Company overview chevron_right
Developing miniaturized, room-temperature photonic quantum processing units (QPUs), aiming to move quantum computing out of large, cryogenically-cooled data centers and onto the edge — on the ground, in the air, or in space. Its differentiated approach encodes quantum information in the internal degrees of freedom of single photons (including orbital angular momentum), using a gate-based single-photon qudit architecture that reduces circuit complexity and simplifies the construction of two-qubit gates versus conventional photonic approaches.
The company has already built and tested a first silicon-photonics chip validating the core building blocks of its processor, and closed a €1M seed round underwritten by Galaxia (CDP Venture Capital's Tech Transfer Fund) to advance toward a commercial quantum photon processor, with a roadmap spanning desktop QPUs for validation, PCIe-form-factor QPUs for servers/industrial edge, and System-on-Module QPUs for autonomous and space platforms.
