Company overview

Builds Digital Twin software that supports cardiovascular surgeons in the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment planning of aortic aneurysms — a condition affecting roughly 700,000 people in Europe and causing around 6,000 deaths per year in Italy alone. The platform combines medical imaging, AI-based image segmentation and high-fidelity numerical simulation to reproduce a patient's biomechanical and hemodynamic response to a vascular prosthesis before surgery.

Unlike existing tools, software runs on embedded systems rather than requiring cloud computation, preserving data privacy while giving surgeons a preoperative sizing and positioning tool that — according to the company — has no direct market equivalent. Spun out of the EU-funded Horizon 2020 "MeDiTATe" project, the company won the LifeScience & MedTech category of Italy's National Innovation Award (PNICube) in 2023 and is now extending its technology to surgical planning through the EU "PANDORA" project with academic partners in Rennes and Lyon.
