Clean-tech in electrolyzers for green hydrogen

Who they are & what they do
Company overview chevron_right
Designs and manufactures next-generation electrolyzer stacks based on Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) technology for the production of green hydrogen and value-added molecules such as ammonia, nitrates and carbon monoxide. Its stacks combine the electrochemical performance of PEM electrolyzers with the material affordability of alkaline systems — eliminating the need for iridium, a scarce and expensive catalyst that constrains PEM scalability in Europe.
A spin-off of the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), Antares has taken a deliberately capital-intensive, asset-heavy path in a market otherwise dominated by asset-light and software-based competitors, investing in proprietary design, a dedicated laboratory and in-house technical expertise. The company has completed experimental validation of its stacks and recently delivered its first units to international customers, marking its transition from development to commercial deployment, and was selected for Area Science Park's Deep Tech Revolution program.
