NODA AI, a defense technology company developing AI-powered orchestration tools for autonomous systems, has closed a $25 million Series A funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. The capital will be used to accelerate development of the company’s AI platform, which coordinates manned and unmanned systems for Department of War operations and allied intelligence agencies, according to PR Newswire.

Noda AI series a funding and platform strategy

The Series A round attracted participation from prominent investors, including Booz Allen Ventures, Draper Associates, Bloomberg Beta, and Alumni Ventures. This financing enables NODA AI to speed up development of its orchestration platform, deepen integration across more than 30 existing autonomous technologies, and expand its solutions for defense and intelligence operations.

NODA AI’s core product functions as a reasoning and coordination layer above diverse autonomous systems. It aggregates inputs from drones, robotic vehicles, sensors, and other platforms, enabling unified command, improved situational awareness, and faster decision-making in multi-domain operations. By connecting otherwise siloed systems, the platform reduces cognitive load on human operators and allows for adaptive, automated responses.

Founded in 2024 by former military leaders, NODA AI was designed to overcome the interoperability challenges common in defense operations. The company’s tools aim to streamline planning, coordination, and execution across air, land, sea, space, and ground assets, improving operational efficiency and reducing response times.

NODA AI funding and AI orchestration in defense

The use of autonomous systems in defense has expanded rapidly, yet many platforms remain isolated and lack interoperability. Operators often face challenges coordinating multiple unmanned and manned systems, limiting the strategic potential of advanced assets. NODA AI’s platform addresses these gaps by enabling diverse systems to work together seamlessly under a single AI-driven orchestration framework.

The platform is already being used by U.S. government agencies and defense contractors, where it has been selected over larger, established vendors for certain initiatives. Its ability to integrate cross-vendor systems and enable real-time tactical reasoning has garnered attention for both domestic and allied defense operations.

NODA AI is also engaging with international partners, including the UK Ministry of Defense, to extend its platform’s capabilities across allied defense networks. The company’s focus on interoperability and autonomous coordination aligns with modern multi-domain military strategies, where the ability to integrate assets from multiple sources is critical for mission success.

With $25 million in Series A funding, NODA AI is positioned to scale its AI orchestration platform at a pivotal time for defense and intelligence operations. By uniting diverse autonomous systems and enabling adaptive, real-time coordination, the company is helping modernize multi-domain operations. As defense agencies increasingly adopt AI-enabled technologies, NODA AI’s platform could become a key enabler for effective autonomous operations worldwide
