Smack Technologies, a California-based startup founded by U.S. Marine veterans, has secured $32 million in combined seed and Series A financing to establish a specialized artificial intelligence laboratory for national security applications. The lab will focus on developing advanced AI tools that help military leaders analyze complex data and make faster, more informed decisions.
The funding round was led by Geodesic Capital and Costanoa Ventures, with contributions from Point72 Ventures, Felicis, Fulcrum Venture Group, and Bloomberg Beta. Company executives said the investment will support research, expand engineering teams, and accelerate the deployment of AI models tailored for defense environments.
