Bayern Munich has posted record revenue and profit for the 2024/25 season, strengthening its position as the world’s largest sports club by membership. The German champions reported €978.3 million in turnover and €27.1 million in net profit, while adding 50,000 new members over the past year.

Bayern Munich has announced record financial results for the 2024/25 season, along with a surge in club membership. Speaking at the club’s annual general meeting, president Herbert Hainer said Bayern gained 50,000 new members over the past year, bringing the total to 432,500 — the highest figure of any football club in the world.

CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen revealed that the club’s revenue rose to a record €978.3 million, up 2.8% year-on-year. Net profit reached €27.1 million (approximately Rs 277 crore).

“Despite turbulent times and a transfer market that has reached new heights, we have once again achieved record revenues and delivered solid profits,” Dreesen said. “We do not spend more than we earn — this approach is part of our philosophy and will continue to guide us.”

Bayern had a relatively conservative transfer window, with Luis Díaz’s move from Liverpool for €67.5 million plus bonuses standing as the club’s major signing.

Members also re-elected 71-year-old Herbert Hainer as club president. He first took over the post in 2019, succeeding Uli Hoeneß.

On the sporting side, Bayern has started the season historically strong, winning 15 consecutive matches in all competitions, including the German Supercup — the best start among Europe's top five leagues.

Bayern will next face Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain away on Tuesday.
