Prime Minister Speaks Out After Bologna Violence
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has publicly addressed the unrest that shook Bologna following the death of Abderrahim Fakir, a 42-year-old Moroccan man who died during a police intervention in the Pilastro district.
In a message published on her social media channels, Meloni adopted a dual approach: demanding a full and impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding Fakir's death while firmly condemning the violence that turned a protest into urban unrest.
According to the Prime Minister, the search for truth and the right to demonstrate must never justify violence against public institutions.

Meloni stressed that establishing the facts is essential.
"What happened in Bologna is unacceptable. Any responsibility related to the death of Abderrahim Fakir must be investigated with the utmost rigor. The truth must be pursued thoroughly, without prejudice and without leniency toward anyone."
