The conflict in the Middle East has reached day 622. According to the Wall Street Journal, Donald Trump has confided to his advisers that he has approved plans for an attack on Iran, but also that he wants to wait to see if Tehran decides to abandon its nuclear program. According to the U.S. president, "the fall of the regime could happen." Another Situation Room meeting was held at the White House.

Pro-Israeli hackers carried out a blitz on Iranian state television, which for a few moments aired footage of various women-led protests urging the population to take to the streets against the ayatollahs’ regime. Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei appeared in a televised message: “We will resist the war, we will never surrender.” Tehran launched missiles toward Tel Aviv, hitting a hospital and causing injuries.

Meanwhile, the United States has deployed four B-2 bombers to a base in the Indian Ocean—military aircraft capable of destroying Iran’s nuclear fortifications. The IAEA stated: “We never said that Iran is building a nuclear weapon,” but according to the U.S. president, “it was just weeks away” from having the bomb. On Friday, the United Nations Security Council will hold a meeting on the situation in Israel and Iran.
