S&P Global Ratings improves UniCredit's outlook

UniCredit Spa -says S&P Global Ratings improves rating outlook from stable to positive and affirms the issuer credit rating and senior preferred rating at 'A-'.

Stand-alone credit profile has also been affirmed to 'a-' while long and short term resolution counterparty ratings have been affirmed to 'A' and 'A-1' respectively.

UniCredit says: "In S&P's view, UniCredit ratings are supported by the bank's solid, geographically diversified franchise across Europe, its robust earnings generation, solid liquidity, and sound asset quality."
