The group closes the period with rising profits and solid advertising revenue in the Italian market. Spain remains weak, while starting from the fourth quarter the results of ProSiebenSat.1 will be fully consolidated.
MFE-Mediaset ended the first nine months of the year with consolidated net revenues of €1.939 billion, slightly down from the €2.004 billion recorded in the same period of 2024, but with profits jumping to €243 million compared with €96 million the previous year. A result that confirms the group's ability to generate value despite a two-speed European scenario.
Driving the performance is above all Italy, where advertising sales continue to grow and exceed last year's figure by 1.4%, bucking a market that is still declining. Spain was less dynamic, remaining in negative territory and weighing on operating results: EBIT fell to €61 million from €126 million in 2024, mainly due to margin compression in the Iberian market.
In the third quarter - the last before the full consolidation of Germany’s ProSiebenSat.1 - the group recorded overall stability in advertising sales. And the “line-by-line” inclusion of ProSieben, effective from the fourth quarter, represents the main discontinuity in upcoming financial statements: a step that will influence figures and comparisons but which, according to MFE, will strengthen the group’s industrial profile.
On a like-for-like basis, the company confirms positive targets for 2025 in terms of operating performance, net profit, and cash generation, with the trend in the final months of the year being a decisive variable.
“Despite the challenging Spanish market and the impact of the ProSiebenSat.1 results, MFE continues to grow beyond expectations”, commented CEO Pier Silvio Berlusconi, “we are closing nine solid months, with rising profit and cash flow. And we are confident that the work initiated in Germany will bring further value to all shareholders”.
