MasterCard secures $8 billion credit facility

MasterCard Inc enters a five-year unsecured USD8.00 billion revolving credit facility with Citibank, a subsidiary of Citigroup Inc.

Expiring on November 7, 2030, the facility amends and restates the company's previous facility of the same value that expired on Friday.

MasterCard says proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
