Global markets rise; tech sector shines in Milan

Wall Street closed with modest gains, as the Dow Jones rose by 0.53%, while the Nasdaq 100 ended flat at 22,907.97, essentially unchanged from the previous session.
In Asia, Tokyo’s Nikkei advanced 0.60%, closing at 39,901.2 points, and Shenzhen gained 1.34%, ending at 10,864.3 points.
European stock markets opened on solid footing, with broad-based buying across the region. The FTSE MIB in Milan aligned with the broader European trend, posting a solid gain. Frankfurt stood out with a 0.85% increase, while Paris surged by 0.91%. London remained flat, holding the line at previous levels.
In Milan, the technology sector led the gains, rising 2.65%, with Cy4Gate standing out after a strong rally of 5.86%.
On the macro front, the UK reported a higher unemployment rate of 4.7% in May and an increase of 25,900 in jobless claims for June, both exceeding expectations. Investors now await key inflation data from the Eurozone this morning and the Philadelphia Fed Index from the U.S. this afternoon.
