Italian IGI gas index rises to €41.91/MWh on June 17

The Italian Gas Index (IGI) climbed to €41.91 per megawatt-hour on June 17, up from €40.99/MWh recorded on June 16, according to data from the Gestore dei Mercati Energetici (GME).

Updated daily by the GME, the IGI serves as a transparent benchmark for interpreting and assessing price trends in Italy’s gas market. It is widely used by market participants for hedging strategies and as a reference for supply contracts.
