Microsoft faces antitrust probe from US FTC

According to sources cited by Bloomberg, the FTC is examining various aspects of Microsoft's business, including its cloud computing, software licensing, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence products. After more than a year of informal discussions with competitors and business partners, antitrust regulators have prepared a comprehensive request for Microsoft to provide extensive information, the report said.

Meeting on the horizon

The request, which spans hundreds of pages, was sent to Microsoft following approval by FTC Chair Lina Khan. FTC antitrust lawyers are expected to meet with Microsoft's competitors next week to gather additional insights into the company's business practices, the report added.
