CAC 40 dips as Legrand, Teleperformance fall
Legrand led the drop, tumbling 6.4% to a near two-month low after reporting lower profit and net sales for the first nine months of 2024 compared to last year. Teleperformance also declined, losing 4.2%, despite a 3% pro forma revenue increase in the third quarter, spurred by high demand across sectors. Banks faced pressure as well, with Credit Agricole down 2.4%, BNP Paribas losing 0.8%, and Société Générale slipping 0.5%.
ArcelorMittal jumps 5% on earnings beat amid market policy watch
In contrast, ArcelorMittal surged nearly 5% after posting a smaller-than-expected drop in third-quarter core earnings. Investors also weighed a potential Trump presidency's impact while awaiting monetary policy announcements from the Federal Reserve and the Bank of England.
