UBS Group launches Ethereum-based money market investment product

UBS Group AG has introduced the "UBS USD Money Market Investment Fund Token," a digital asset on the Ethereum blockchain. This launch marks a significant expansion in UBS's tokenization efforts through its UBS Tokenize initiative.

The product aims to offer clients a secure, blockchain-based investment option, catering to a growing demand for tokenized financial assets. This latest offering follows two major milestones for UBS in blockchain innovation. In June 2023, UBS issued fully digital structured notes worth CNH 200 million for BOCI, a Chinese bank, and in November 2023, it completed the world’s first cross-border repurchase transaction using a fully digital bond on a public blockchain.
