The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield held near 4% on Wednesday, after slipping in the previous session, as investors continued to assess the Federal Reserve's monetary policy outlook.

Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic said Tuesday that he expected only another 25 basis point rate cut this year, despite the median forecast for a 50 basis point hike. The central bank, however, reiterated that its approach to monetary easing would be guided by evolving economic conditions.
NY manufacturing sector activity worsens
Data on Tuesday showed New York's Empire State manufacturing index fell to minus 11.9 in October, its lowest reading in five months.
The spread between 10- and 2-year U.S. Treasuries is around 8 basis points.
