Rheinmetall wins deal with German carmaker
The Düsseldorf-based manufacturer, specializing in both automotive and defense sectors, revealed that the deal was won with a “well-known German automobile manufacturer.”
Rheinmetall will provide electric vapour pumps for use in “high-precision sensor cleaning systems.” The value of the deal is in the "low double-digit million-euro range."
What's the deal about
“The relevant models from the manufacturer are expected to be deployed in North American and European markets, specifically in the field of autonomous driving. Two additional nominations are anticipated within the next six months,” Rheinmetall stated.
Rheinmetall also noted that its electric vapour pump is already the first of its kind on the market, offering improved fuel combustion efficiency and reducing pollutant emissions in the fuel tank area.
