Enel is ready to invest over €53 billion in renewables by 2028, stock jumps 5.65%

Enel is set to invest over 53 billion euros in renewable energy by 2028, with Europe and the United States among the main players in this major financial initiative. Following the announcement, the energy giant saw its stock surge by 5.65%.
The industrial plan, published on Monday morning, foresees that approximately half of the investments will be allocated to Enel’s Integrated Business, which includes electricity generation, sales, and distribution, with a significant portion of 20 billion euros dedicated to renewable energy.
At the same time, the company will invest over 26 billion euros in networks, focusing primarily on the European market.
Overall, the Rome-based company has increased its investment plan by 10 billion euros compared to last year’s plan, confirming its strategy to strengthen growth in renewable energy and electricity infrastructure.
