Industrial producer prices were mixed in Italy in November, reflecting the impact of energy and uneven trends across manufacturing sectors, figures from Istat showed on Monday.

On a monthly basis, producer prices rose by 1.0% in November, the largest such increase since June, reversing a 0.2% decline in October.

On an annual basis, industrial producer prices fell 0.2% in November, following a 0.1% increase in October, marking the first year-on-year decline since November 2024.

The month-on-month rise was mainly driven by higher energy prices, particularly refined petroleum products and electricity. Monthly increases also were recorded in other manufacturing industries, basic pharmaceutical products, and metallurgy, while prices in electricity and gas supply declined.

Annual price increases were observed in other manufacturing industries, basic pharmaceutical products, metallurgy, transportation equipment, and food, beverages and tobacco, while electricity and gas supply prices declined.
