Consumer price inflation in the eurozone was lower than first estimated in November, data published by Eurostat showed Wednesday.
The harmonised consumer price index rose 2.1% in November from a year before, the same annual pace of inflation as in October but below Eurostat's preliminary estimate earlier this month that it had accelerated to 2.2%.
The lowest annual CPI inflation rate in the eurozone was in Cyprus with 0.1%, followed by France with 0.8% and Italy with 1.1%. The highest annual rate was in Estonia with 4.7%, followed by Croatia with 4.3% and Austria with 4.0%.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices in the eurozone fell by 0.3% in November, after an increase of 0.2% in October.
The lower-than-expected annual inflation rate comes a day before the European Central Bank announces its last interest rate decision of 2025. The ECB is expected to leave its key policy rates unchanged at 2.00%, 2.15% and 2.40%, respectively.
