Italy’s annual inflation rate slowed to 1.1% in November, its lowest level since January, the national statistics office Istat said on Monday, revising its preliminary estimate lower.

Consumer prices fell 0.2% month on month, driven mainly by slower growth in food prices, a sharp decline in regulated energy prices and easing inflation in transport and other services. Price growth for the so-called “shopping basket” of everyday goods also cooled, rising 1.5% year on year, down from 2.1% in October.

Core inflation, which excludes energy and fresh food, eased to 1.7% from 1.9%. Inflation acquired for 2025 stands at 1.5% for the overall index and 1.8% for core inflation.
