Japan industrial output rises in October, higher than preliminary data

Japan's industrial production growth in October was better than initially expected, revised data published by the Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry showed Friday.

The seasonally adjusted index of production rose 1.6% year-on-year in October, upwardly revised from 1.5%, easing from a 3.8% increase in September.

Meanwhile, industrial production grew 1.5% month-on-month in October coming in above the preliminary figure of 1.4%, from 2.6% increase in September.
