Despite a broader slowdown in the gaming sector, Tencent Holdings posted record sales in its gaming division, highlighting the resilience of major tech companies in turbulent markets.

In the third quarter of 2025, Tencent’s total revenue reached €192.9 billion, marking a growth of approximately 15 % compared to the same period last year. The strong performance was driven by popular mobile and online games both in China and on international markets, with international titles showing particularly robust growth.

While the global gaming industry faces challenges including regulatory pressures and slowing growth, Tencent’s results underscore its ability to maintain strong demand and expand its market share. Analysts note that the company’s diversified portfolio and focus on innovation, such as cloud gaming and esports, have helped buffer it against broader market volatility.

Tencent also indicated that it plans to continue investing in its gaming ecosystem and expanding production capabilities, aiming to sustain growth even in a competitive and uncertain industry environment.
