GRUPPO TOD’S: SODDISFATTI DELLA DECISIONE DEL TRIBUNALE DI RINVIARE LA DISCUSSIONE DEL CASO

Accogliamo con soddisfazione la decisione del Tribunale di Milano, che troviamo corretta e ragionevole, di accordare al Gruppo Tod’s il tempo necessario per completare le misure di ulteriore rafforzamento dei controlli, da tempo avviate dalla Società.

Tranquilli sui risultati di questa attività, ribadiamo che, da sempre, è nostra intenzione fare chiarezza, per poter dare un contributo valido in questa seria questione, considerato che proteggere e difendere la dignità dei lavoratori rientra tra i valori più importanti della nostra famiglia e tra i criteri fondanti del Gruppo.

Rinnoviamo l'invito al Procuratore Storari di venirci a visitare, per rendersi conto di quale realtà rappresentiamo, di come vivono i nostri lavoratori, considerati, nel settore, tra i migliori del mondo; possiamo assicurare che tantissime sono le aziende italiane che rappresentano modelli di comportamento eccellenti.

Una volta conclusa questa vicenda, crediamo sarà importante confrontarsi nelle sedi opportune per risolvere un problema che, se non viene affrontato nel giusto modo e con una visione ampia, può fermare parte importante del mondo del lavoro italiano, circostanza della quale dobbiamo preoccuparci tutti, ognuno nel suo ruolo.

Concludiamo dicendo che i valori del Made in Italy e la sua reputazione nel mondo sono un patrimonio enorme e noi abbiamo il dovere di proteggerlo ed esaltarlo, non di sminuirlo.

TOD'S GROUP: SATISFIED WITH THE COURT'S DECISION TO POSTPONE THE DISCUSSION OF THE CASE.

We welcome with satisfaction the decision of the Milan Court, which we find correct and reasonable, to grant the Tod’s Group the necessary time to complete the additional control-strengthening measures that the Company initiated long ago.

Confident in the outcome of this work, we reiterate that it has always been our intention to clarify matters and to make a meaningful contribution to addressing this serious issue, given that protecting and defending the dignity of workers is among our family's most important values and one of the founding principles of the Group.

We renew our invitation to Prosecutor Storari to visit us, so that he can see for himself the reality of our operations, what we represent and the conditions in which our employees work, conditions considered among the best in the world in our sector. We can emphasise that many Italian companies stand as models of exemplary conduct.

Once this matter is resolved, we believe it will be important to engage in discussions in the appropriate forums in order to address a problem which, if not addressed appropriately and with a broad vision, risks halting an important part of Italian industry, something that should concern all of us, each in our respective roles.

We conclude by saying that the values of 'Made in Italy' and its global reputation constitute an enormous heritage, and we have a duty to protect and enhance it, not diminish it.
