Spain's industrial production rose by 1.7% year-on-year in September 2025, following a downwardly revised 3.3% increase in the prior month.

This marked the seventh consecutive month of growth in industrial activity, albeit the weakest since May.

Output increased for energy (3.6% vs 3.8% in August), consumer goods (2.7% vs 4.1%) and intermediate goods (0.7% vs 0.3%), but declined for capital goods (-0.3% vs 4.4%).

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output went up by 0.4%, after a 0.1% decrease in the previous month. Year-to-date, Spanish industrial output rose by 1.1% over a year ago.
