Japan industrial production recovers sharply in September

Industrial production in Japan rebounded in September, figures from the Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry showed on Friday.

Industrial production rose 3.4% year-on-year in September, accelerating from a 1.6% decline in August.

Meanwhile, industrial production grew 2.2% month-on-month in September, recovering from a 1.5% fall in August and beating the 1.5% increase that was expected based on the FXStreet-cited consensus forecast.
