Japan retail sales rebound in September but miss forecasts

Japan's retail sales figures showed a modest recovery in September, official data on Friday showed.
According to the Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry, Japanese retail sales grew 0.5% annually in September, picking up from a 0.9% decline in August, but still missing the 0.7% increase consensus cited by FXStreet.
On a monthly basis, retail sales grew by 0.3% in September, rebounding from a 0.9% fall a month earlier.
