Italy industrial production back to annual growth in July - Istat

Industrial production in Italy returned to annual growth while the monthly advance accelerated, national statistics office Istat said on Wednesday.

Italy industrial production rose by 0.4% month-over-month in July after increasing by 0.2% in June from May.

On an annual basis, growth of 0.9% in July followed a 0.7% decline in June, revised upward from an initially reported 0.9% dip.

Istat said energy production fell by 7.8% on a monthly basis and by 5.2% on an annual basis, while consumer goods production rose by 2.1% compared to the previous month and by 3.0% compared to the same month in the previous year.

Capital goods output grew by 1.6% month-over-month and by 2.8% year-over-year, while intermediate goods output rose by 0.7% in July from June and by 0.3% in July from July 2024.
