Trump Plans “Constructive” Talks with Putin on Ending War

U.S. President Donald Trump said he will meet Vladimir Putin to discuss ending the war in Ukraine, expecting to know “within two minutes” if a deal is possible. Trump called it “respectful” for Putin to visit the U.S. and said any fair proposal would be shared with NATO, European leaders, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Trump suggested peace could require Ukraine to cede territory to Russia, a condition Zelensky has firmly rejected, citing constitutional barriers. Trump also raised the possibility of lifting sanctions and restoring trade with Moscow if Russia focused on business instead of war
