Japan household spending growth misses forecast in June


Japanese household spending growth eased in June, official data showed Friday.


According to the Statistics Bureau of Japan, average monthly consumption expenditures per two-or-more-person households rose 1.3% in real terms year-on-year in June, increasing to JPY295,419, or approximately USD2,006.


The latest figure was down from the 4.7% increase recorded in May and came in below the 2.6% consensus forecast cited FXStreet.


Meanwhile, household spending grew 5.2% in nominal terms in June.
