French unemployment rate unchanged at 7.5% in second quarter

France's unemployment rate was unchanged in the second quarter, data published by the National Institute of Statistics & Economic Studies showed Friday.

The jobless rate was 7.5% in the second quarter, unchanged from the first quarter, which was upwardly revised from 7.4%.

The unemployment rate for women decreased to 7.3% in the second quarter from 7.4% in the first quarter. The rate for men increased to 7.7% from 7.5%.
