France's trade deficit narrowed marginally in June, data published by the Directorate-General of Customs & Indirect Taxes showed Thursday.

The country's trade deficit stood at EUR7.62 billion in June, down 0.1% from EUR7.63 in May. It was milder than FXStreet-cited expectations of a reduction in the trade deficit to EUR7.5 billion in June.

Exports rose 3.4% to EUR50.63 billion in June from EUR48.96 billion in May, while imports climbed 2.9% to EUR58.25 billion from EUR56.60 billion.
