Euro-area growth steady in June as euro-coin indicator holds at 0.26

The euro-coin indicator, developed by the Bank of Italy, held steady at 0.26 in June 2025, suggesting continued modest GDP growth in the euro area.

According to the Bank, the slight rebound in confidence among service and construction firms was offset by a decline in industrial production.

The euro-coin index provides a real-time, smoothed estimate of eurozone quarterly GDP growth, filtering out short-term volatility, seasonal effects, and measurement errors.
