Retail trade in Germany falls again in May

Retail sales in Germany declined again in May, with real sales down by 1.6% month-on-month, following a 0.6% drop in the previous month. Analysts had expected a 0.5% increase. According to the German Federal Statistical Office (DESTATIS), the annual change stood at +1.6%, down from +4.6% recorded in April.
