French Producer Prices Fall Sharply in April 2025

Producer prices in France dropped significantly in April 2025, according to data released by the French National Institute of Statistics (INSEE). Factory prices fell by 3.9% compared to March, deepening the previous month’s 1.1% decline.
On an annual basis, producer prices were down 1.3%, accelerating from the 0.1% year-on-year decrease recorded in March.
Breaking down the data, prices for goods destined for the domestic market saw a sharp 4.3% monthly drop, following a 0.5% decline in the previous month. Export prices also slipped by 2.8%, maintaining the same rate of decline seen in March.
