Switzerland's producer and import prices fell by 0.9% year-on-year in December 2024, moderating from the 1.5% decline recorded in November.

This marked the twentieth consecutive month of price decreases but represented the smallest drop since October 2023, signaling a potential stabilization in pricing pressures. The improvement was driven by a slower decline in producer prices (-0.1% compared to -0.4% in November) and import costs (-2.6% versus -3.8%). Producer and import prices remained flat every month, missing market expectations of a 0.2% rise but improving from the 0.6% decline observed in November.
