Spain’s consumer confidence indicator rose to 89.6 in November 2024, recovering from a seven-month low of 79.6 in October, signaling a slight easing in the pessimism felt by Spanish households.

This improvement in sentiment was widespread, with notable gains in both components of the index. The gauge measuring consumer expectations for the year ahead increased to 87.5, up from 86.2 in October, while the measure of current conditions saw a modest rise to 73.8, compared to 73 in the previous month. Compared to the same period in 2023, the consumer confidence index grew by 3.9 points, reflecting a generally positive shift in household outlooks.
