France inflation confirmed at 1.3% in November

The modest increase was mainly due to a smaller annual decline in energy prices (-0.7% vs. -2.0% in October), driven by moderate decreases in petroleum product costs and faster growth in electricity prices. Food price inflation slowed (0.2% vs. 0.6%), prices for manufactured goods dropped further (-0.3% vs. -0.2%), while inflation for services (2.3%) and tobacco (8.7%) remained unchanged.

Monthly deflation On a monthly basis, the CPI decreased by 0.1%, matching initial estimates, following a 0.3% rise in October. The EU-harmonized CPI rose by 1.7% year-on-year, up from 1.6% in October, and fell by 0.1% month-on-month, both in line with preliminary estimates.
