Spain's annual inflation rate climbed to a four-month high of 2.4% in November 2024, up from 1.8% in October, in line with preliminary estimates.

The increase was primarily driven by higher electricity and fuel prices, contrasting with declines recorded in November last year. The core inflation rate, which excludes volatile components like food and energy, edged down to 2.4% in November from 2.5% in October.

Monthly figures

On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.2% in November, slowing from a 0.6% increase the previous month. Meanwhile, the EU-harmonized CPI grew 2.4% year-on-year and remained unchanged month-over-month.
