The perception of whether it is a good time to make significant purchases also showed progress, with the index improving to -30.5 from -39.4, suggesting a gradual recovery in consumer willingness to spend on big-ticket items. Additionally, consumers viewed their past financial situation more favorably, as reflected in an increase in the index to -49.1 from -63.9.
