Producer prices in Spain fell by 3.9% year-on-year in October 2024, easing from a 5.2% decline in September and marking the 20th consecutive month of deflation.

Prices continued to decrease for energy (-13% vs. -16.9% in September) and intermediate goods (-1.2% vs. -1.5%), while rising for consumer goods (+1.4% vs. +1.5%), driven by stable growth in non-durable goods (+1.5%) and a slower increase in capital goods (+1.8% vs. +2.3%).

Core figures

Excluding energy, producer prices rose by 0.4%, maintaining the same pace as the previous month. On a monthly basis, producer prices edged down 0.1% in October, following a revised 2.4% drop in September.
