Baltic Dry index continues to fall

The baltic Exchange index continued its decline for the tenth consecutive day on Monday, slipping nearly 2% to 1,382 points—the lowest level since January 18—due to rate decreases across all vessel segments. The capesize index, which covers 150,000-ton cargoes like iron ore and coal, dropped by 70 points to 1,786 points.

The panamax index also fell

The panamax index, typically used for 60,000-70,000-ton cargoes of coal or grain, fell by 11 points to 1,190 points. Meanwhile, the supramax index, reflecting smaller vessel rates, declined by 6 points to 1,234 points.
