Spain's producer prices fall 5.2% in September
This marked the 19th consecutive month of producer deflation, the steepest drop since April. This was driven mainly by a significant decrease in energy costs, which fell by 16.8%, compared to a 6.2% decline in August. Prices for intermediate goods also decreased by 1.4%, while capital goods prices rose by 2.3% and consumer goods prices increased by 1.5%. When excluding energy, producer prices increased by 0.4% in September, after a 0.6% rise in the prior month.
