Inflation in the Eurozone could stably reach the 2% target in the first quarter of 2025, according to analysts and the Governor of the Bank of France, François Villeroy de Galhau.

Although there may be temporary rebounds, inflation is declining more than expected, as confirmed by September data, which show a drop to 1.7%, the lowest level since 2021.
ECB's policy doesn't change
Despite this, the European Central Bank's monetary policy remains restrictive, with interest rates still high. Some experts, however, believe that a too-rapid return to neutral rates could reignite inflationary pressures, while the risks of economic stagnation remain a possible alternative scenario.
