Decorluxe Group, established in September 2023 by Ethica Global Investments through a rebranding of portfolio companies VMC Mottini, Verbar, and Plast.Met, has made its first international acquisition, signaling the start of its foreign expansion.
Ethica's Decorluxe Group acquires Romanian firm
This deal sees Decorluxe acquiring 100% of Decorlux Projects srl, a Romanian company based in Oradea that specializes in decorative packaging for the cosmetics sector.
This acquisition allows Decorluxe Group to expand its footprint in Eastern Europe and streamline labor-intensive production processes for high-quality surface treatments in packaging for perfumery, cosmetics, and beverages.
Previous acquisitions
Prior to this, Decorluxe Group had already grown its Italian portfolio by acquiring three additional companies in 2024: Aurora srl and Eurovercos srl in February, and Decor-Style in July.
The Romanian acquisition was supported by law firms Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici and Grossi Salvi & Partners, while Decorlux Project was advised by accountant Dr. Giancarlo Restori.
According to Ethica, Decorlux Project is recognized for its expertise in pantography and screen printing, known for its high-quality finishes and advanced techniques. Founded in 2017, Decorlux Project has seen steady revenue growth, rising from €8,500 in its first year to €393,500 in 2023, although it reported a loss of €58,300 in 2023 after two profitable years.
